Music App ‘Tay Than Thar’ Debuts


Myanmar telecom operator MPT, and East Boy Co., Ltd debuted music app Tay Than Thar, which will bring popular music songs to listeners.

The app will offer exclusive songs, which are not available on other platforms. It is available on both the Google Play Store and Apple Store.

“We are in a way promoting Myanmar’s music and entertainment industry by providing unlimited access to new releases and classic hits to our customers,” said Mr. Reizo Umeda, Chief Commercial Officer of MPT-KSGM Joint Operations.

The service offers to two memberships: Free user and Premium user. Free users can listen to specific songs while premium users will be able to listen to the latest premium music; the premium account costs K99 per day.

After downloading the application, customers will be required to sign up with their MPT SIM number. To enjoy the premium service users can send SMS “ON” to “8734” (or) activate it through the application.

“We created Tay Than Thar solely out of our love for music. We have put forth tremendous effort, aiming to be a 100% locally owned, providing an international standard music service for all Myanmar citizens,” said U Nyi Thura, CEO of East Boy Co., Ltd.

MPT customers can enjoy high quality song downloads, an exclusive collection of music videos by latest artists and live streaming of music concerts.
