Music For Myanmar 2019 Raises Awareness for Disadvantaged Children


Link for Aid and Chatrium Hotel Royal Lake Yangon, will present the “Music for Myanmar 2019 - An Enchanted Evening” to raise funds for disadvantaged, deaf, and orphaned children in Myanmar on Friday, October 4, 2019.

The stars of this sparkling event will be the acclaimed Irish singing duo Simon Morgan and David Shannon, and it will feature special guest singer Jewel.

Simon Morgan and David Shannon bring their unique style of music in a mix of contemporary, Irish, opera, musical theatre and romantic favorites to Yangon. There will also be an elegant dinner with free-flow wine and beer, as well as an auction of fantastic items including a luxury river cruise and a raffle of accommodation, dining and other amazing prizes.

Ms. Pamela McCourt Francescone, founder of the non-profit charity Link for Aid, said, “This is our sixth Music for Myanmar charity concert, and the funds raised will allow us to sponsor projects to make a meaningful difference to the lives of many hundreds of underprivileged children, with a positive impact on their families and communities. We will be supporting the Mary Chapman School for the Deaf in Yangon, the NAC-NLD Aids Centre in South Dagon Township, New Humanity Myanmar in Yangon, and Taunggyi and the Nawarat Monastic School in Shwe Pyi Thar.”
